PPL Mystery Book Club

This month we’re reading The Widow by John Grisham. Simon Latch is a lawyer in rural Virginia, making just enough to pay his bills while his marriage slowly falls apart. But his fortune seems to change when he hooks the richest client of his career: Eleanor Barnett, an elderly widow in need of a new will, and Simon’s discretion. Her husband left her a small fortune that no one knows about, and she wants to keep it under the radar. But it’s not long before her story begins to crack, and when she’s hospitalized after a car accident, Simon finds himself on trial for a murder he swears he didn’t commit. But the circumstantial evidence is against him, and the only way to save himself is to find the real killer.Join us every month to read and discuss a different book in the Mystery Genre; new members are always welcome!
